Friendly Dental lives up to its name, from the receptionist to the hygienists and dentists and the financial personnel. They are always prompt with appointments, which I appreciate.

Becca is my hygienist and does excellent work. She is gentle and personable as well as efficient. Heather, a dental assistant, has done great work also when I've had crowns and fillings.

Dr. McDavid is the best dentist, hands down, that I’ve had over the past 65+ years. He is knowledgeable, gentle, and painless. I enjoy going to his practice. He’s done several crowns for me with no issues at all. After retiring to Florida, I still return twice a year to this dental practice. It's worth it.

Friendly Dental is exactly that—very friendly. They make me feel comfortable from the waiting room until my care is complete. My comfort is a priority with the hygienist as well as the dentist. The office and the care rooms are very clean. I actually look forward to my dental visits and have been a patient there for 35 years.

Thanks to Friendly Dental Care. I no longer fear the dentist. Let me tell you, there is no one who feared the dentist more than I did. Dr. McDavid and the team were so patient with me. They took hours when I first started going just to work on one tooth because I required so many breaks. Dr. Jess and staff are amazing! Staff are always kind, and Dr. Jess is always very gentle! I drive 1.5 hours round trip because the care is that great.

I have been a patient of Friendly Dental (previously Baker Dental) for 27 years. I moved out of Lancaster and still go back to them. I broke a tooth right before Christmas, and Dr. McDavid worked me in so that I would not be in pain. I highly recommend Friendly Dental.

Everyone treats you like a person, not just another patient. When you have dental issues or concerns, they take the time to discuss options and procedures, and during procedures, both the doctor and their assistants are always checking that you're doing alright, making sure that you're not hurting or stressed. I've had dental work done by both Doctors Robert and Jessica McDavid, and both made me feel very comfortable, and they're wonderful about reducing the pain before injections. Which, in my experience with other dentists, isn't always the case. They're very good at their profession, and my dental hygienist, Becca, is awesome! Highly recommended!

I had three false starts in writing this review. I was struggling to express the high level of care, professionalism, and problem-solving that has benefited me in the years I have trusted my dental care to this practice. It would be hard to imagine a kinder, more reassuring environment for patients. Seriously, now... Who in the world loves to go to the dentist? At least when I am there, I have the support of Jacqui, my smart, funny, long-time hygienist who prepares by reviewing my chart history ahead of my appointment, takes time to review that with me, discusses my personal care plan for various issues, and gives the impression while I am in the chair that I am the most important patient on her schedule. She is constantly checking on my welfare as she works on my hard-to-clean teeth. When Dr. McDavid comes in for the exam, the first thing he always says is, ``It's good to see you,`` and he has me convinced that he means it every time. Again, nobody loves to go to the dentist, but I feel really lucky to know that when I do go to Friendly Dental Care, I am going to be treated with care and respect by pros who actively listen and take time to treat the individual, not just another patient. The only reason I rated them five stars is that the scale didn't go to 10. (Confession: I am sad that I now have to request the voucher for a free donut next door, but hey—FDC is looking out for my diet now as well. But darn...those ARE great donuts. Donuts aside, almost anyone would sign up for better dental care if he or she were convinced that the practitioners were committed to providing better treatments with as little discomfort as possible.
